Launchpad Veterans Secures £132K Grant to Empower Homeless Veterans on the Road to Independence

We are thrilled to announce that Launchpad Veterans, the largest residential charity for veterans in the north of England, has successfully raised £132,986 in new funding. This milestone is not only a testament to the unwavering support of our community but also an essential boost toward fulfilling our mission of easing the transition from military to civilian life for our veterans. Every day, around 100 veterans—many coming from a homeless background—find a welcoming and supportive home at our Speke House in Liverpool, Avondale House in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and Hollyacre House in Durham. Our charity provides veterans with refurbished, comfortable self-contained flats alongside communal facilities that foster a sense of belonging and empowerment. The funds raised will play a crucial role in enhancing the comprehensive services we offer, including tailored support with welfare, mental and physical health challenges, diversionary activities, and guidance on training, employment, and permanent accommodation. Our dedicated team works closely with each resident to craft individual roadmaps toward independent living, leveraging partnerships with specialist providers to ensure that every veteran receives the holistic care they deserve. To date, we have supported over 624 veterans, with remarkable success rates in helping residents secure employment and settle into stable accommodation. This injection of £132,986 will go directly toward bolstering our programs and addressing the ongoing operational costs, which are vital to maintaining our high standard of care.
