Empowering Urban Futures: The SEED Foundation Raises $12,000 to Advance College-Prep Innovation

The SEED Foundation is thrilled to announce the successful raising of $12,000 in our latest funding round, a dynamic boost that will help us further extend our transformative educational programs in urban communities. As a nationally recognized nonprofit, we’ve dedicated our mission to preparing underserved students for college success and life beyond. Since our inception, from the groundbreaking opening of The SEED School of Washington, D.C. in 1998 – the nation’s first urban public boarding school – to the establishment of innovative institutions in Maryland and Miami, we have continuously set the standard for academic excellence in challenging environments. This new infusion of funds will play a critical role in supporting our ongoing endeavors to enhance student services, upgrade campus resources, and broaden our outreach programs, such as the SEED College Transition & Success Program that guides our graduates as they navigate higher education. With a proven track record—93 percent of our Washington, D.C. graduates enrolling in college and 100 percent of our first Maryland seniors accepted to four-year institutions—the Foundation remains committed to ensuring that every student has access to quality education and the tools necessary for success. This funding not only reinforces our commitment to innovation and academic rigor but also sets the stage for future growth as we continue to develop state-of-the-art educational opportunities that empower young minds.
