Building Bright Futures: Community Youth Advance Secures $10K Grant to Empower Youth Success

Community Youth Advance is thrilled to announce our latest funding milestone—a successful raise of $10,000 to further our mission of transforming out-of-school time into powerful opportunities for learning, growth, and community engagement. Since our founding in 2018 through the strategic merger of Mentoring to Manhood and Community Tutoring Inc., Community Youth Advance has continually harnessed the power of community to teach, reach, and keep youth on the path to success. This infusion of funds will enhance and expand our academic and social-emotional learning programs, which currently benefit over 1,200 students annually in Prince George’s County and Northeast Washington DC. Our vision is rooted in the belief that every student deserves the social and academic support necessary to be prepared for college, careers, and life, and these funds will directly contribute to realizing that vision. With origins dating back to 2005 and bolstered by a rich history of addressing the educational and mentoring needs of young individuals—particularly young Black males—our approach has always been about bringing communities together to create safe, inclusive, and empowering environments. The additional funding will support innovative initiatives designed to enrich out-of-school programming, provide targeted tutoring sessions, and strengthen our mentoring networks. We look forward to investing this capital to not only bolster existing programs but also to explore new opportunities that address the evolving needs of the communities we serve. As we celebrate this financial achievement, Community Youth Advance renews its commitment to being a catalyst for change and a beacon of hope for youth striving for academic excellence and personal growth.
