Zembo Powers Up Ugandan Electric Mobility: Secures $1M Funding to Expand Battery Swap Network and Affordable Motorcycles

We have successfully raised USD 1,000,000 to accelerate our mission of transforming transportation by offering affordable electric motorcycles, a crucial step in reducing carbon emissions and easing city congestion. This funding round underscores the confidence our investors have in our innovative business model and our commitment to sustainable mobility. Since our inception, Zembo has rapidly expanded its operations, currently operating more than 30 state-of-the-art battery swap stations across the region. These stations not only ensure an uninterrupted travel experience for our customers but also contribute to the growth of a green infrastructure network that is vital in today’s urban landscape. The funds raised will be strategically invested to scale our production capabilities, expand our network of battery swap stations, and enhance our service offerings. We are planning to introduce cutting-edge technological upgrades to our electric motorcycles and battery systems to boost performance, reliability, and efficiency. Furthermore, the investment is set to empower our research and development team to pioneer advanced features that will further elevate the riding experience and set new standards in the electric vehicle industry. Alongside hardware improvements, a portion of the funds will support a comprehensive marketing campaign aimed at increasing awareness and adoption of eco-friendly transportation alternatives within Uganda and beyond.
