Universal Signalling is thrilled to announce a remarkable funding milestone as we raise £482,000 to fuel our mission of transforming digital signalling within the Railway Industry. Since our inception as a disruptive start-up in 2022, and building on technology under development since 2018, we have relentlessly pursued innovative solutions to make railway operations safer, more efficient, and cost-effective. Our lab-demonstrated Universal Interlocking system harnesses low-cost, commercially available off-the-shelf components to create modular, extensible, and pre-assured building blocks that encapsulate all the rules of the route. The infusion of fresh capital will accelerate the further development and deployment of our breakthrough digital signalling solution, known for its robust, resilient, and flexible architecture. More importantly, our approach radically shortens the traditional, lengthy process of design, installation, testing, and assurance, allowing for rapid deployment right after track installation. This means not only that trains can hit the rails faster, but also that the safety of passengers is enhanced instantly. With this investment, we are now well-positioned to bring our first two full-scale demonstrators to life at two major test tracks in the UK, covering both light and heavy rail applications.
