TOWING Co., Ltd., an innovative agri-tech startup headquartered in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, is proud to announce its successful funding round with a total raise of ¥1,940,000,000. This significant investment will propel TOWING’s groundbreaking High-Performance Soil Technology to new heights, accelerating the research, development, and distribution of their flagship product, Soratan. Soratan, a high-performance biochar, revolutionizes traditional soil preparation by reducing a process that typically takes three to five years down to just about one month. By integrating specially cultured microorganisms with porous plant charcoal and organic fertilizer, TOWING’s unique approach not only enriches soil quality rapidly but also offers substantial environmental benefits, such as the potential to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately one ton per rice paddy case. Building on collaborations with the National Agriculture and Food Research Organization (NARO), TOWING has seamlessly combined its proprietary biochar pretreatment methods and microbial cultivation techniques with cutting-edge agricultural practices developed by experts.
