As the UK’s biggest water and sewerage provider, serving around 15 million customers across London and the Thames Valley, our mission has always been to deliver high-quality, reliable water services while setting new benchmarks for safety and sustainability. With this funding, we will accelerate our ambitious agenda – investing more than £1 billion this year to enhance our advanced networks and infrastructure, which include state-of-the-art clean water treatment facilities and innovative sewerage treatment plants. We are already generating enough electricity to power over 55,000 homes and remain on track to harness further renewable energy opportunities. The funds will also support our commitment to rigorous safety standards, ensuring that more than 400,000 tests are conducted annually on our drinking water to exceed UK regulations, while simultaneously investing in research and development to continue leading the industry.
