Taking Flight: KSS Raises £10K in Funding to Propel Life-Saving Innovation

Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex is thrilled to announce that we have successfully raised £10,000 in our latest funding round—a vital boost to our mission of saving lives every day. As a charity that operates a 24/7 Helicopter Emergency Medical Service across Kent, Surrey, and Sussex, we rely on public donations and fundraising to meet the significant running costs of our life-saving service, which amount to £18.8M annually. With 88% of these funds coming directly from the generosity of our supporters, every donation, including this recent £10,000, plays a critical role in ensuring that we continue to deliver rapid, expert emergency care. Our team is passionately committed to providing outstanding treatment and support at the scene of an incident—whether we are arriving at the scene via our fleet of helicopters stationed at Rochester Airport or through our rapid response vehicles operating from Redhill Aerodrome. In the past year alone, we responded to over 2,500 incidents, proving that every minute and every pound raised truly makes a difference in saving lives. The funds raised during this announcement will be directly reinvested into maintaining and upgrading our equipment, ensuring our helicopters and vehicles remain at the cutting edge of emergency medical services.
