Symbiotics Secures $29M Series A Funding to Accelerate Impact Investing in Emerging Markets

Symbiotics is thrilled to announce the successful closing of a funding round in which we raised USD 29,000,000, marking a significant milestone in our continued journey as the leading market access platform for impact investing. Since 2005, our commitment to improving access to capital by providing investment, asset management, and capacity building services has enabled us to originate more than 7,900 investments representing over USD 10 billion for 598 companies in 97 countries. This fresh capital investment is set to further empower our ambitious mission by accelerating growth in the private markets across emerging and frontier economies. The additional funds will be strategically deployed to expand our innovative market access platform, enhance our technological capabilities, and broaden our suite of services designed to support sustainable growth and development. By reinforcing existing funds and creating opportunities to explore new markets, we are positioning ourselves to drive economic empowerment and contribute to the long-term transformation of local communities. Moreover, this capital injection will further bolster our efforts in asset management across our aggregate portfolio of USD 2.8 billion spread across 20 funds and mandates, ensuring that our portfolio companies continue to benefit from robust technical assistance projects, which have already reached over 170 initiatives worth more than USD 19 million.
