Solstar Space Co. Secures $1 Million Funding to Revolutionize On-Orbit Connectivity

Solstar Space Co. is thrilled to announce that it has successfully raised $1,000,000 in its latest funding round—a milestone that marks another significant chapter in our journey to revolutionize commercial space-based connectivity. As the leading provider in this arena, Solstar Space has been pioneering persistent communications services for an extensive range of on-orbit assets, from satellites and space stations to launch vehicles and crewed missions. This new influx of capital will accelerate the development of our fast, reliable networking solutions, including our robust space-tested routers, Wi-Fi access points, and innovative satellite communicators. Our goal is to further enhance the persistent connectivity between spacecraft and payload managers, satellite operators, and Earth-based operational teams, ensuring that both crew safety and mission success are prioritized through seamless communications. The funds will be dedicated to expanding our suite of mobile satellite services (MSS) that include commercial Internet Protocol (IP) data, local Wi-Fi, and voice communications services for astronauts and increasingly connected “things in space.” This investment draws on our deep-rooted expertise, with a heritage spanning over 22 years and a track record of launching successful MSS ventures since 1999. In addition, the funding will support continued research and development that has been a cornerstone of Solstar’s progress—12 years of internally invested R&D, complemented by our collaboration under an unfunded Space Act Agreement with NASA’s Flight Opportunities Program, which began in 2013.
