Skin Analytics Secures $17.5M Series B Boost to Transform AI-Powered Skin Cancer Detection in the NHS

Skin Analytics is thrilled to announce that we have successfully raised £17,500,000 in our latest funding round, marking a pivotal milestone in our mission to create a world where no one dies from skin cancer. With this significant investment, we are poised to accelerate the adoption of our revolutionary AI-powered medical device, DERM, which underpins the world’s most advanced skin cancer pathways. Since our inception, we have been committed to partnering with NHS dermatology teams to deliver innovative solutions that not only transform care but also enhance efficiency within healthcare systems. Our AI technology has already been implemented across 18 NHS partner sites in both primary and secondary care, and it has become the first—and only—AI skin cancer pathway within the NHS. DERM’s unique status as a Class IIa UKCA marked and Class III CE marked AI device has set a new standard in the field, proving essential in the accurate detection of skin cancer. To date, our solutions have supported over 135,000 NHS patients, identifying more than 13,000 cancers and significantly reducing the number of face-to-face appointments by up to 95% in secondary care settings. The funds raised will primarily be utilized to expand our deployment efforts, further integrate our technology into the NHS framework, and enhance our remote skin assessment service provided to partners like Bupa and Vitality.
