Seeding the Future of Local Government: Sheboygan County Secures $2M in Seed Round Funding

Today marks an exciting milestone for Sheboygan County, as the County proudly announces the successful raising of $2,000,000 to further its commitment to delivering responsive and cost-effective local government services. Known for its forward-thinking approach and dedication to its citizens, Sheboygan County has long been a leader in public service, efficiently managing an annual budget that supports 19 departments, 825 employees, hundreds of contracted service providers, and more than 200 vital programs. The newly secured funds will be strategically invested in enhancing a broad spectrum of services—from maintaining the safety and quality of our highways and roads, and ensuring robust law enforcement, to protecting and enhancing our priceless natural resources. Additionally, this capital injection will help boost critical administrative functions such as processing birth certificates, marriage licenses, and land records, while also reinforcing essential health and human services designed for the mentally ill, elderly, physically disabled, children, and those facing financial hardships. Emphasizing economic development, the County will also channel part of the new funding into the thriving operations of its airport and the facilities lineup supporting the UW-Sheboygan campus. This comprehensive funding initiative underlines Sheboygan County’s steadfast dedication to meeting the immediate needs of its community while also investing in future growth opportunities.
