We’re thrilled to announce a groundbreaking funding milestone for Second Life, the mission-driven upscale thrift store dedicated to “Save Money...Save a Pet’s Life!” The company has successfully raised $10,000,000—a sum that underscores our community’s unwavering commitment to turning everyday shopping into a force for animal rescue. Since opening our doors in 2011 in the Atlanta area, Second Life has become synonymous with a unique, fun thrift store shopping experience, where every purchase helps provide a second chance at life for homeless pets. Our flagship 5,000+ square foot store offers a curated selection of gently-used clothing, housewares, electronics, books, furniture, and home décor, while our adjacent Furniture, Decor and More store features unique vintage collectibles and artwork. Over the years, our passion for animals has manifested in tangible impact, including over $590,000 awarded in cash grants to more than 40 animal charities and spay/neuter programs as of December 2015. This new infusion of funds will not only expand our charitable grants but also enhance our capacity to support rescue initiatives and animal welfare programs more ambitiously. Every dollar raised is reinvested into our mission to transform the lives of homeless dogs and cats—helping reduce the staggering number of over 200 euthanizations daily in our region.
