Ritter Center Secures $10.4M Grant to Expand Critical Services for Homeless and Vulnerable Marin County Residents

Ritter Center is excited to announce a major milestone in its mission to prevent and resolve homelessness while advancing the health, dignity, and wellbeing of those living in poverty in Marin County. The organization has successfully raised $10,448,269, a significant achievement that underscores the community’s commitment to nurturing a more just and supportive environment for vulnerable populations. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Ritter Center has long been a pillar in Marin County, offering a comprehensive array of services that extend beyond traditional health care. This new influx of funding will enable the center to further broaden its impact by expanding primary health care services, scaling integrated mental health and substance abuse counseling, and enhancing permanent supportive housing initiatives. In addition, the funding will strengthen comprehensive case management, emergency financial assistance programs, and a suite of critical safety-net services which include access to groceries, clothing, voicemail services, showers, and laundry facilities—resources that play an essential role in stabilizing lives and fostering hope among individuals and families at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
