Landcare Tasmania Secures $160,621 Grant Round Funding for Environmental Sustainability Initiatives

Landcare Tasmania is excited to announce that it has successfully raised $160,621 in funding, a significant boost that will help to further its mission of engaging the community in environmental stewardship across the state. As the peak body for community Landcare in Tasmania, we are dedicated to supporting and enhancing the efforts of our members who tirelessly work to improve our natural and working environments. Our grassroots approach empowers local communities to take ownership of environmental challenges—from eradicating invasive weeds to cleaning up pristine beaches—ensuring that solutions are not only effective but deeply rooted in local knowledge and commitment. The funds raised will be primarily allocated to our Landcare Action Grants, which provide essential financial support for on-ground projects that promote biodiversity and sustainability. This financial injection enables us to distribute grants to community groups focused on tasks such as revegetating bushland, managing farms sustainably, and controlling erosion. In addition to grant support, we offer our members vital services, such as cost-effective group insurance and advocacy at all levels of government, ensuring that their voices are heard in policy decisions affecting our environment. With the support of the Tasmanian Government, we are more equipped than ever to harness the passion and dedication of Landcarers statewide.
