Jacksonville Humane Society Celebrates a $100K Boost: Advancing Compassion and No-Kill Mission Since 1885

The Jacksonville Humane Society is excited to announce that it has successfully raised $100,000 to further its mission of providing care, comfort, and compassion to animals in need. Founded in 1885, our organization has long been a pillar of the Jacksonville community, operating as an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit that relentlessly works to end the needless killing of abandoned and orphaned shelter animals. This significant infusion of funds will be dedicated to expanding our vital services, including support for our Adoption, Education and Pet Help Center, which remains a beacon of hope for countless homeless pets. In 2022 alone, we provided shelter and medical care to almost 9,000 animals, ensuring that each one receives a second chance at life through adoption and community support. The newly raised funds will enhance our capacity to offer comprehensive pet owner assistance programs, education camps for children, and specialized training sessions for military veterans, all of which are integral to building a compassionate and engaged community. By partnering with local agencies to maintain Jacksonville as a no-kill city, we continue to create an environment where both animals and people thrive together.
