IQM Quantum Computers Secures Strategic Funding to Accelerate Global Quantum Innovation

IQM Quantum Computers Finland is proud to announce its latest funding round, which marks a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing mission to lead the quantum computing revolution. With an undisclosed amount raised from dedicated investors and strategic partners, the capital infusion will be instrumental in propelling the development and scaling of IQM’s innovative quantum technologies. As a global leader in building quantum computers, IQM provides robust on-premises solutions for supercomputing centres, enterprises, and research labs while also offering full access to its powerful hardware through its acclaimed quantum computing cloud platform, IQM Resonance. The new funding will enable the company to accelerate its current research and development initiatives, including its renowned 50-qubit quantum computer project in collaboration with Finland’s VTT. In addition, it fortifies IQM’s commitment to its international breakthroughs, such as the HPC quantum accelerator being developed within the IQM-led Q-Exa consortium in Germany, and the pioneering quantum accelerator project in Spain which will utilize IQM processors. This investment will further empower IQM’s expert teams, now comprising over 300 professionals spread across key offices in Espoo, Madrid, Munich, Palo Alto, Paris, Singapore, and Warsaw, to drive forward the boundaries of quantum computing. By channeling these funds into advanced hardware development, cloud technology enhancements, and expanding global research partnerships, IQM reaffirms its position at the forefront of the quantum computing industry.
