Firstport Secures £40,000 in Grant Funding for Social Entrepreneurs in Scotland

Firstport, Scotland’s leading development agency for start-up social entrepreneurs and social enterprises, is thrilled to announce that it has successfully raised £40,000 in funding. This significant boost will enhance our mission to empower the next generation of social innovators across Scotland. Established in 2007, Firstport has been a crucial catalyst for change, responding to over 5,000 inquiries from aspiring entrepreneurs and assisting more than three individuals each day in launching their social enterprises. The latest round of funding will enable us to expand our suite of services, including our seed funding programme, comprehensive business advisory services, and expert mentoring tailored specifically for social entrepreneurs. With the new funds, Firstport plans to introduce innovative workshops and practical tools designed to equip social entrepreneurs with the skills and resources they need to thrive. Additionally, we aim to strengthen our outreach efforts, ensuring that we reach even more individuals in underserved communities, giving them the support and opportunities to turn their ideas into impactful social ventures.
