Empowering Uganda’s Future: NOPLHB Unveils $3 Million Funding Initiative for Community Transformation

We are thrilled to announce that the National Organization for People Living with Hepatitis B (NOPLHB) has successfully raised 3,000,000 to further its mission across Uganda. As a dedicated non-governmental organization renowned for its expertise in health, gender and human rights, and economic empowerment, NOPLHB has spent the last 11 years transforming communities by extending vital services to women, children, and youth. This significant funding milestone enables the organization to accelerate its innovative work in identifying and supporting communities with the most pressing needs, particularly in areas where groundbreaking implementation research is essential. NOPLHB began its impactful journey in 2011 in Kasese district, and over the years has expanded its reach to at least 10 districts countrywide. This growth is a testament not only to its continued commitment to expanding geographical coverage, but also its ability to forge strong partnerships and networks with other development actors dedicated to societal betterment. The funds raised will be strategically deployed to enhance existing programs and launch new initiatives aimed at empowering marginalized communities. With renewed financial support, NOPLHB aims to invest further in health education, capacity building, and sustainable economic programs that offer women, children, and youth the opportunities necessary to realize their full potential. This funding announcement marks a pivotal chapter in NOPLHB’s ongoing efforts to create an inclusive, supportive environment that champions health, human rights, and economic growth, ensuring that every member of the community can contribute to and benefit from a better future.
