Empowering the Future: Academy Achievers Secures $50K Grant to Fuel Inclusive STEM & Web3 Programs

Academy Achievers is excited to announce that we have successfully raised £50,000 in our latest funding round, marking a significant milestone in our mission to empower children and young people from vulnerable and hard-to-reach communities through STEM and Web 3 initiatives. This remarkable achievement reinforces our commitment as a not-for-profit organisation to address educational disparities and spark a passion for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics among young learners. The new funding will enhance our array of innovative programmes, ranging from our Early Years STEAM Music sessions for toddlers and their parents, to engaging Junior Coding Clubs for children ages 5-7, where interactive group or one-on-one sessions on platforms like Scratch introduce kids to the basics of coding and problem-solving. Moreover, the investment will support our Virtual STEAM Camp tailored for ages 8-10, where live and pre-recorded sessions create an immersive, hands-on learning experience full of creative challenges such as building spaghetti bridges, making colourful slime, and launching balloon-powered cars. In addition, the funding will significantly boost our #BeMEDigitalInclusion initiative, an ambitious mentoring program aimed at closing the digital skills gap for young women aged 14-25. This program will offer twelve weeks of group sessions led by experienced mentors from the tech industry, covering essential topics like growth mindset, confidence building, and career guidance to help guide future tech leaders. With this fresh infusion of resources, Academy Achievers is poised to expand its impact, nurture future innovators, and foster an inclusive environment where every young person can thrive in the digital age.
