Empowering Futures: Safe Passage Secures $650K to Transform Guatemala City’s Most Vulnerable Communities

Safe Passage is thrilled to announce the successful raising of $650,000, a milestone that marks a significant step forward in our journey to transform lives and break the cycle of poverty in Guatemala City. As a dedicated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we have been working tirelessly in one of the city's most challenging communities, where families and children living near the garbage dump face daily hardships that limit access to quality education and opportunities. This substantial infusion of funds will amplify our ongoing work with approximately 500 children from nearly 300 families, ranging in age from 3 to 21 years, empowering them through our comprehensive program that emphasizes not only academic learning but also essential life skills and perseverance. The raised funds will primarily be directed towards expanding educational resources, enhancing our curriculum, and developing sustainable programs that provide practical job training and community engagement opportunities.
