Deutsche ReGas Secures €112M Grant to Bolster LNG and Hydrogen Infrastructure in Germany

Deutsche ReGas is proud to announce that it has successfully raised 112,000,000 euros in new funding—a major milestone for the Lubmin-based company and a strong vote of confidence in its innovative approach to European energy infrastructure. As a medium-sized enterprise headquartered in Lubmin, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Deutsche ReGas has continually pushed the boundaries of the industry. The company currently operates Germany’s very first and only privately financed floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal, playing a vital role in transforming LNG into regasified fuel that is fed into the German gas transmission network since January 2023. This unique facility underscores the company’s position at the forefront of energy innovation in Europe. The new capital will be strategically invested to support several pivotal initiatives. Among these, the expansion and further modernization of operations at the existing LNG terminal in Lubmin are key priorities. Additionally, Deutsche ReGas is accelerating its development of the Energie-Terminal in Mukran on the island of Rügen, a project that is set to broaden its reach and impact in the regional energy market. Crucially, part of this funding will also be dedicated to the planned construction of hydrogen electrolyzers at both Lubmin and Mukran, emphasizing the company’s commitment to advancing renewable energy solutions and contributing to a sustainable energy future.
