CT Humanities is thrilled to announce that we have successfully raised $200,000 to further our mission of encouraging curiosity, understanding, and critical thinking throughout Connecticut. As many of you know, we serve as the Connecticut Humanities Council—the state’s 501(c)(3) affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities—dedicating ourselves to enriching lives through history, culture, and education. Our organization has long been at the heart of the community, providing invaluable grants to historical societies for developing engaging exhibitions and innovative programs that explore our state’s vibrant and diverse past. Through our book-based facilitated discussions in libraries across Connecticut, we empower people of all ages to dive deep into significant literary and historical narratives, cultivating a love for lifelong learning and dialogue. The newly secured funding is strategically allocated to expand our range of offerings and reinforce our commitment to an engaged and informed Connecticut. With these funds, we plan to enhance our existing initiatives—such as the after-school Book Voyagers programs in Hartford, New Haven, and New London—and explore strategic partnerships that can provide leadership on issues of civic engagement and social justice. This investment not only underscores the trust our supporters have in our vision but also fuels our ongoing efforts to spark intellectual curiosity and prompt meaningful conversations in communities throughout the state. As we continue to build an informed public, this financial boost propels us toward a future where every resident has the opportunity to engage with Connecticut’s rich heritage and inspiring cultural legacy. We look forward to sharing updates on our exciting new projects and the transformative impact this funding will have across our state.
