CSVS Secures 4000 Grant to Propel Innovative Higher Education Research

The Centre for Higher Education Studies (CHES) is excited to announce a successful funding milestone, having raised 4000 to support the advancement of innovative research in the field of higher education. Founded in 1991 through the transformation of the Institute for Higher Education Development, CHES has evolved from a semi-budgetary organization under the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports to a respected public research institution established by MEYS under Act No. 341/2005 Coll. Since taking on this role on January 1, 2007, the institution has dedicated itself to providing actionable insights into the dynamic landscape of Czech higher education and its ongoing development. The newly raised funds will be strategically invested in expanding our ongoing projects and initiating new research initiatives. Our expert team, with nearly 30 years of specialized experience, has been at the forefront of critical investigations into the state of higher education in the Czech Republic. This includes landmark projects such as Graduate 2018, Eurograduate 2018-2020, Eurostudent VII, and the SNOP project that addresses the pressing issue of student drop-out rates. Moreover, the funding will aid in bolstering our comprehensive analyses of issues ranging from inequalities in access to education, the preparation of future teachers, and the evolving cooperation between higher education institutions and industry. CHES has also made significant strides in international cooperation, frequently engaging in collaborative projects like PERIF and IQAT to monitor European trends. This funding announcement not only marks a financial achievement but also reinforces our commitment to fostering a more inclusive, innovative, and globally competitive higher education sector.
