Console Secures €6.2M Seed Round to Expand Life-Saving Suicide Prevention & Bereavement Services

We are thrilled to announce that Console has successfully raised €6,200,000 in new funding—a monumental step forward in our mission to provide life-saving support and comprehensive mental health services in Ireland and the UK. Founded in 2002 in response to the country's tragic rates of suicide, Console has grown into a nationwide beacon of hope offering prevention and bereavement services, counselling, and a robust network of support groups that cater to both individuals in crisis and those mourning a loss. This significant investment will enable us to expand our range of services even further, strengthening our counselling teams, psychotherapist network, and regional centres in Dublin, Galway, Cork, Limerick, Wexford, Mayo, Tralee, Athlone, and our operations in the UK. In addition to enhancing our existing support infrastructure, the new funding will empower us to broaden our Suicide Prevention Training program, QPR (Question, Persuade, and Refer), ensuring that more communities have access to the critical skills needed to identify and respond to suicidal crises. With these resources, Console plans to increase the availability of emergency interventions through our 24-hour Freephone Helpline and extend therapeutic group sessions for both adults and children.
