Center for Child Counseling Secures $100K Grant to Fuel Early Childhood Mental Health & #FightingACEs Initiatives

We are thrilled to announce that Center for Child Counseling, Inc. has successfully raised $100,000 in funding, marking a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to building the foundation for playful, healthful, and hopeful living for children, families, and communities. Since our founding in 1999 in Palm Beach County, our focus on Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health has been the cornerstone of our work. This latest round of funding will directly support our mission to fight the immediate and lifelong effects of abuse and violence on young children through an expansive range of prevention, early intervention, and counseling services. Our programs—grounded in rigorous research on early brain development and the long-term impact of adversity and trauma—are designed to mitigate the damaging consequences of toxic stress, which can fundamentally alter the developing brain if left unaddressed. With this infusion of capital, we plan to enhance and expand our #FightingACEs Initiative, a pivotal program aimed at raising awareness about the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences and fostering secure, stable, and supportive relationships between children and caring adults. These relationships are crucial as they buffer young brains from the heightened levels of stress faced in early life, ultimately setting the stage for healthier lives into adulthood. The funds will also be used to develop innovative outreach efforts, increase community engagement, and extend our counseling services to more families in need.
