We are thrilled to announce that roadsurfer, the world’s leading expert in campervan travel, has successfully raised €85,000,000 in funding. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Munich, roadsurfer has revolutionized the way people experience the open road by offering colourful, state-of-the-art campervans for rental, subscription, and sale, all backed by the trusted roadsurfer campervan promise: a ready-to-go camping package, flexible cancellation or rebooking, unlimited free kilometres, and the latest campervan models. This infusion of capital will empower our mission to further enhance and expand our extensive network, currently spread over 70 locations across 14 European countries, including key markets in Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, and beyond. The funding will drive our strategic growth initiatives, such as expanding our presence in the United States—with our inaugural station already operating in Los Angeles and upcoming launches in Las Vegas and San Francisco—as well as our planned expansion into the Canadian market with new stations in Vancouver and Calgary in 2024. Additionally, we aim to scale our fleet to almost 8,500 campers worldwide, featuring iconic brands like VW, Mercedes Benz, Ford, Westfalia, Knaus, and Bürstner. This investment will also support further development of our innovative digital lifestyle travel brand and the revolutionary roadsurfer spots platform, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the global outdoor travel market.
