Boosting Sustainable Living: Community Rebuilds Announces $75K Seed Round Milestone

Community Rebuilds is thrilled to announce that we have successfully raised $75,000 to further our mission of transforming lives and communities across the Southwest. Based in Moab, Utah, our nonprofit is dedicated to building sustainable, energy‐efficient homes for low‐income families and individuals, while simultaneously offering a natural building internship program that has already enriched the lives of over 300 interns. With this new funding, Community Rebuilds will expand our portfolio of projects to ensure that more families have access to safe and affordable housing, in addition to providing essential education on sustainability and green building practices. Our supporters have long believed in our vision of a future where communities thrive through sustainable living, and this generous contribution serves as a testament to that shared goal. We plan to use the funds to not only construct additional energy-efficient and affordable homes but also enhance our training programs that prepare interns for careers in sustainable construction and design. This dual approach—improving housing conditions and fostering education—ensures that the positive impacts of every project extend beyond mere bricks and mortar to inspire a broader cultural shift towards environmental stewardship and resilience. To date, our work has spanned across Utah, Colorado, and even touched lives on the Hopi Reservation in Arizona with the construction of 43 innovative straw bale homes. With this new investment, we are excited to further our reach, intensify our educational efforts, and drive lasting change in the communities we serve.
