BFI Doc Society R&D Fund Raises £10,000 for Next Generation UK Storytellers

This vital funding will investigate innovative approaches to documentary filmmaking, opening pathways for new voices and perspectives in the genre, and underscoring our commitment to fostering diverse narratives. The BFI, which serves as a National Lottery distributor and is funded by the UK Government, is passionate about preserving and promoting the culture of film. Our efforts include growing and caring for the BFI National Archive, the world’s largest film and television archive, and delivering a plethora of UK and international programming through various festivals and online platforms. With this latest investment, we aim to enable filmmakers to push creative boundaries, engage audiences, and deepen public appreciation for the art of film.
