America On Tech Secures $2.5M Grant Funding

America On Tech, a national nonprofit, has secured $2,500,000 in funding from investors. The organization is dedicated to preparing the next generation of technology leaders from underestimated communities. As an early pipeline tech talent accelerator, America On Tech creates equitable access to technology careers for 16-24-year-olds from historically excluded backgrounds who often lack critical resources and opportunities. This investment will support its mission to expand access to high-quality tech education. Since its inception in 2014, America On Tech has delivered free technology education and workforce readiness programs across New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, and Atlanta. Its curriculum covers in-demand skills such as Web Development, Artificial Intelligence, UX Design, and Cybersecurity, equipping students for higher education and careers in the technology sector. The nonprofit has served over 5,300 students, facilitated more than 1,000 paid internships generating $4.1 million in wages, and distributed $2.4 million in stipends to remove financial barriers. America On Tech plans to use the newly raised capital to expand its impactful programs and increase its geographic reach. This strategic investment aims to further bridge the gap in technology education and workforce development, addressing the systemic underrepresentation of diverse talent in the tech industry. The organization’s proven model shows that alumni are twice as likely to attend college and five times more likely to pursue technology-related degrees compared to the national average. The funding round signifies confidence in America On Tech's approach to fostering economic mobility and creating diverse talent pipelines. With this financial backing, America On Tech is positioned to scale its initiatives, enabling more young individuals to pursue and succeed in high-growth technology careers.
